THE COMPANY is made up of 65 fourth graders in Mrs. Hardin's homeoom class and Mrs. Gober's intellectually gifted classes. These students contracted for jobs such as electrician, carpenter, set designer, makeup artist, costume designer, historian, public relations agent, stage managers , performer, composer, and production manager.

THE STORY "Journey Back to CandyLand" opens with CandyLand's Mayor Pep R. Mint explaining a childhood loss. His cousin, Twix, vanished years earlier, when the two discovered a mysterious game called "CityLand".
ACT ONE
Molly Pop, the only daughter of Mayor Pep R. Mint, accidentally finds the mysterious board game in her basement. Curious about the "Big City", Molly Pop convinces her friends, Starburst and Gumdrop, to play the game with her. With the roll of a die, the girls are magically transported to the Big City.
ACT TWO
Molly Pop, Starburst and Gumdrop arrive in the Big City where they meet Mr. Twix and his associate, Knuckles. Posing as the head of the Big City's Official Tourist Welcoming Comittee, Mr. Twix tries to trick the girls into taking him back to CandyLand with them. He wants revenge, but ends up learning an important lesson about love and trust.

THE CHARACTERS
Pep R. Mint - The mayor of CandyLand, Pep R. Mint, is a proud father and public servant who has dedicated his life to protecting the people of CandyLand from suffering the same fate as his Cousin Twix
Molly Pop – The mayor’s daughter, daring Molly Pop longs for adventure in theBig City. She is a loyal friend to Starburst and Gumdrop.
Starburst – Molly Pop’s friend Starburst loves to eat candy. She is ready for an adventure in CityLand as long as there are sweets to eat. She can’t imagine eating fruits and vegetables!
Gumdrop – Gumdrop is also Molly Pop’s friend. She is apprehensive about CityLand, but she adores fashion, and the Big City is full of the newest designs.
Mr. Twix – Cousin to the mayor of CandyLand, Mr. Twix is a bitter character who holds a grudge against the people of Candyland. He has an important lesson to learn about his family.
Knuckles – Mr. Twix has a minion, and his name is Knuckles. Working for Mr. Twix is a challenge to Knuckles, who usually has trouble figuring things out.
